It was the gathering of the high and mighty in the society as the newly installed Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) was presented with the staff of office and instrument of appointment on December 7.
The event attracted prominent traditional rulers from all nook and crannies to celebrate the new entrance into the fold of royal fathers in the country.
The politicians were not left out as three governors from the southwest joined the host Governor Rauf Aregbesola for the historic event that last took place 35-year ago when the new Ooni was only five year old.
The royal fathers that was physically present were the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’adu Abubakar, Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi-Otu V, Dein of Agbor Benjamin Ikechuku Keagborekuzi I, representative from Edo, Delta, and many prominent traditional rulers from the southwest.
